'The Sixth Day of Creation'

"On the sixth day of creation God created land animals and humans."

My 2024 solo exhibition 'New Earth' explored our divine connection to nature and the cosmos via the book of Genesis’ creation story, and examined the innate bond between humans and animals.

In this piece 'The Sixth Day of Creation', a woman and wolf - a spirit animal associated with intuitive power, freedom and independence - face off, lost in each other's gaze; the windows to their souls.

This was the first painting I completed for the 'New Earth' exhibition, and one of the largest.
